Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a serious business. If you want beneficial changes made to your thought and behaviour patterns, you see a hynotherapist.
There is nothing to fear about hypnotherapy. You may notice that straight after the words hypno….. comes… therapy. What is therapy? A treatment utilized for the benefit of the client.
Have you ever sat in a recliner chair, closed your eyes and taken a moment to relax? That is exactly what you will experience during a hypnotherapy session. Many people describe a hypnotherapy session as being in a guided daydream with your eyes closed. A fear many people seem to have is that they will have to expose things that make them uncomfortable. There are varying forms the hypnotherapist uses, one being a guided private session whereby the client chooses an issue and has no need to fully explain the issue to the therapist.
A common myth about hypnotherapy is that someone else will have control over your body. In a hypnotherapy situation this is not the case. You, the client, have full control. The therapist is simply a guide to help you through the process. If you wish to open your eyes and stop the session you can. There is no overwhelming power that takes you over. The power is within you and the harder you try, the better the result.
What is it good for: Motivation, moving on from depression, habits, fears, well being, weight loss and positive thinking? Change your thoughts to change your life.
Hypnosis is an altered state of awareness, when one is half awake, half asleep, relaxed and comfortable, safe and secure, aware yet not bothered. Many would be aware of the sensation felt when driving somewhere and not remembering a section of the journey……. You would have been in a “trance like” state.
Hypnotherapy enables reprogramming of emotional attitudes and reactions and helps create new and beneficial behaviour patterns. Habits, anxieties, ailments, confidence, and depression are an example of just a few reasons why people seek help through a hypnotherapist.
Can everyone be hypnotised? If you want to be – yes! Hypnotherapy is greatly different to stage hypnotism, where only a certain percentage of people respond well. In hypnotherapy, you walk in the door wanting to be hypnotized. It’s all up to you, the hypnotherapist is simply your tool for change.
